Have you ever had problems focusing?

You know you want or need to do something, and you simply get hung up in the small stuff, unable to power through and get to the actual goal? Focus is the difference between dreams and reality.

And this week we are talking about focus, and how it allows us to prepare ourselves for what God wants us to do. We find ourselves in the story of the boy king, Josiah, and his mission to restore Judah back into a proper relationship with God.

Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah from Bozkath. 2 He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn away from doing what was right. 2 kings 22:1-3

Josiah led his people on a journey of focus, through 3 steps. Each one of these rectified previous wrongs as well as allowed them to live fully into the mission of God. It is a story of ups and downs, of uprising, and ultimately of restoration.
